PV modules with stone look and feel.

Flasher for large PV modules for power measurement of mono and bifacial PV modules, electroluminescence and UV fluorescence measurements.
In the Module technologies group, new technologies are being developed for the production and testing of photovoltaic (PV) modules. The focus is on the development of new cost-effective technologies for flexibilized manufacturing of custom-made PV modules and the development of measurement techniques to characterize PV modules in the laboratory and in the field.
The close collaboration between solar cell and PV module development at ISFH enables us to test new solar cells from the outset for PV module-relevant characteristics and to optimize them for PV module integration. This way, new developments are accelerated. We have longtime experience with standard and nonstandard interconnection techniques such as laser soldering, laser welding, contact soldering, ultrasonic soldering, and electrically conductive adhesives. We also support and test the development of new metallization on the solar cell to ensure connectivity and processability in the PV module from the outset.
We assist you with realizing new concepts for PV modules and application forms, with reliability tests of new solar cells inside PV modules, and testing and reviewing of PV module components. We have developed methods to gauge the mechanical stability of solar cells inside PV modules as well as to assess the optical properties of various module components (back sheet, encapsulants, interconnectors, light management structures) inside the PV module and to evaluate how much they increase the yield.
We offer you the fabrication of special PV modules that can be used as light sensors or sensor arrays. We are also able to fabricate small PV modules that can be used to assess the properties of new PV module components or solar cells. We offer characterization and testing as services, in cooperation of material or PV module development, or for certification of PV modules.
