ISFH at Hannover Messe 2026

We will again be present at Hannover Messe in 2026. You can find us in Hall 11, Booth C33.

At our booth we present current work from photovoltaic research and from collaborations with industry. The focus lies on technologies for efficient solar cells, quality assurance in production, and models for integrating photovoltaics into buildings and districts.

Topics at the booth

  • CityPV – Analyzing energy flows in buildings and districts
With our simulation framework CityPV we examine how photovoltaics, heat pumps, battery storage, and power grids interact. The model calculates the sizing and operation of building energy systems and enables assessments of economic performance, self-consumption, and grid impacts. It supports analysis of questions in urban planning, energy policy, and infrastructure development.
  • DigiPV – Quality control and module development
Within DigiPV we present current work on the analysis and improvement of photovoltaic modules and their manufacturing processes.
  • SQUIS – Quality inspection of solar cell strings in production
With the String Quality Inspection System (SQUIS) we inspect solar cell strings contactlessly during production using electroluminescence imaging. Defects such as cell cracks, hotspots, or soldering faults are detected within seconds before the string is integrated into a module. Manufacturers can remove faulty components at an early stage and improve module quality.  For more information, please visit our FlexMod page.
  • Preview of our intensive course: “Passivating contacts for TOPCon solar cells: Understanding and hands on practice - An intensive course at ISFH”
We also present a new industry-oriented intensive course on poly-Si contacts for TOPCon solar cells. The program combines theory, manufacturing, and measurement methods in the SolarTeC production environment and targets engineers working in development, pilot manufacturing, and production.

Hannover Messe provides a platform for exchange between policy, research, and industry. At our booth we show how research results can be transferred into industrial processes, manufacturing methods, and energy systems.

We look forward to discussions on research collaborations, industrial applications, and energy policy topics.
