Intensive course on poly-Si contacts for TOPCon solar cells

Post

Hannover Messe offer: Information on the training course “Passivating contacts for TOPCon solar cells: Understanding and hands on practice”

Poly-Si contacts such as POLO and TOPCon form the basis of current and next-generation high-efficiency silicon solar cells. Their industrial implementation requires a strong understanding of processes, reliable characterization, and robust evaluation of process windows.

We have developed a new intensive course that combines theory with hands-on sessions in the production-oriented SolarTeC infrastructure at ISFH. Participants analyze real process data, assess parameters that influence cell performance, and train how to handle typical deviations in manufacturing.

At our booth we provide a preview of the course content, structure, and learning objectives. Visitors receive a short introduction to:

  • Structure and physical principles of poly-Si contacts
  • Key process steps in industrial manufacturing
  • Typical defect patterns and their systematic analysis
  • Characterization methods for evaluating cell performance

We also present a demonstration of the SolarTeC training environment. We show the industry-oriented equipment and measurement techniques used during the practical sessions and how participants evaluate real process data.

Meeting times at the booth

We present the topic on:

Monday, 1–6pm
Friday, 1–4pm

Appointments for the other days can also be arranged in advance. Please see below.

We look forward to meeting you in Hall 11, Booth C33!

Further information

Details on course content, learning objectives, and the training environment are available on our website.

Who is the course intended for?

The course targets professionals in development, pilot manufacturing, and production who aim to strengthen process control and structure failure analysis, including:

• Process engineers in PV cell manufacturing
• R&D professionals working on silicon solar cells
• Teams transferring technologies from the lab to pilot or production lines

Schedule a meeting

Individual meetings can be arranged in advance with Dr. Udo Römer. Use the opportunity to discuss content, objectives, and possible formats directly.
