Concepts for the reduction of conventionally generated heat distribution losses in solar-assisted multi-family houses
Jul 01, 2013 – Aug 31, 2016
The project ‘Reduction approaches for conventionally generated heat distribution losses in solar-assisted multi-family houses’ (FKZ 03ET1194A) is funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) based on a decision of the German Parliament.
With advanced insulation standard in multi-family houses (MFH) heat losses of the heat distribution and domestic hot water systems cover rising amounts of the space heating demand. This research project investigates new heat supply and distribution concepts for MFH, using system simulations (TRNSYS) with the focus on partial decentralization. The project aim is to minimize losses of conventionally generated heat by specific integration of solar and ambient heat as well as using a time-based decentralized back-up heating. The most promising concepts will be realized within a successive project.
