Here you can find reports of the IEA Task 13 report series "Performance and Reliability of Photovoltaic Systems".
The overall objective of Task 13 is to improve the operation and reliability of photovoltaic energy systems and, as a consequence, to improve their electrical and economic performance. This will be achieved by:
- Provision of a common platform for the development of quality aspects,
- their exchange between the stakeholders
- and dissemination of knowledge in the market.
Task 13 focuses on the following:
- the collection of reliable statistical data for decision-makers from different PV applications and system locations (e.g. different countries, regions, climate zones)
- technical challenges such as adapting measurement methods and estimating the service life of PV modules, comparing the long-term behavior of systems and components as well as carrying out a performance analysis and optimization of PV systems
- economic and institutional issues such as comparing investment and energy costs, analyzing maintenance costs of certain components, or analyzing errors and statistics
