The Fabrication group at ISFH is developing a module-relevant solar cell baseline technology based on industrially proven processes with a focus on POLO BJ solar cells. Together with the PV special module production group, the production process is designed from the cell concept to the PV module.
One focus is the development of an automated and digitalized production line at ISFH, which is open to external partners for production tests, technology development and transfer projects. In the future, AI-supported methods will also be used to optimize individual processes, evaluate measurement data and for predictive maintenance.
The aim is to transfer innovative cell technologies into scalable, cost-efficient and practically relevant manufacturing processes - a decisive step towards reestablishing solar cell production in Europe.
