On 29 January 2018, Professor Rolf Brendel was invited to speak at the “PV Module Technology & Applications Forum 2018” to present trends in research on solar cell concepts and technologies. The main focus was on the limiting factors of current and emerging cell concepts as well as on the principle of contact selectivity, which allows a fundamental assessment of different technologies.

The “PV Module Technology & Applications Forum 2018” was organised by TÜV Rheinland and took place from 29 to 30 January 2018 in Cologne, Germany. It was designed for an international audience for the first time this year and attracted about 200 visitors. Dr. Marc Köntges, head of the group “Module Technologies” at ISFH, is a member of the steering committee of the forum.
