About the Federal Voluntary Service
The Federal Voluntary Service is aimed at all those who would like to get involved outside of their job or training in the social, cultural or ecological spheres or perform other activities for the common good. The Federal Voluntary Service offers young and older volunteers alike the opportunity to find their profession, to acquire new skills or to strengthen existing ones and to enhance their personal development.
Who can be a part of?
Anyone who has completed full-time compulsory education can get involved in the Federal Volunteer Service. Age, gender, nationality and the type of school qualification is immaterial.
Duration of service
The Federal Voluntary Service usually lasts 12, but at least 6 and at most 18 months. We would like our volunteers to work for us for 12 months.
What to expect at ISFH

You will mainly work in the Solar Systems department of the ISFH. The tasks in this area include among other things, laboratory activities such as calibration work on sensors, collector assemblies and support in collector tests as well as the performance of various maintenance tasks.

Compensation
In addition to an appropriate amount of pocket money, we will also provide you with other financial compensation, e.g. for food and accommodation. During your period of service, you are covered by social insurance, whereby all social insurance contributions are paid by the ISFH.
