An important issue for the Mechanical Engineering Industry Association (VDMA, www.vdma.org) is photovoltaic production means. At the autumn conference of the “Electronics, Micro and Nano Technologies” panel, which took place on 11. and 12. September in Berlin, researchers of the ISFH in Emmerthal (Germany), of the Helmholtz-Center Berlin and of the Centre for Solar Energy and Hydrogen Research in Stuttgart informed about implementation-relevant new developments in their laboratories. Current research is the fundament for tomorrow’s products of the mechanical engineering sector. Therefore an efficient information exchange is absolutely important.
