Based on previous research work on UV fluorescence, electroluminescence and light-induced electroluminescence, this sub-project aims to develop solar generator analysis methods that are supported by the inverter and thus make it unnecessary to rewire the solar generator for analysis purposes, enabling higher-quality analysis images and more reliable defect analyses than usual. Based on the findings and solutions developed in the project, ISFH and SMA will use these results in their future product developments and in the corresponding series production following the project or transfer them into corresponding service offers. This will then generally lead to an improvement in the efficiency, reliability and sustainability of solar and storage power plants and their corresponding components and thus also contribute to an acceleration of the expansion of renewable energies.
