Instituts-Kolloquium: PV Research at ANU: From Materials to Modules and Systems
Am Dienstag, den 20. Mai, um 14:00 Uhr findet im Vortragssaal des ISFH ein Instituts-Kolloquium statt.
Dr. Marco Ernst (Australian National University (ANU)) stellt „PV Research at ANU: From Materials to Modules and Systems“ vor.
Alle Institutsangehörige, Freunde und auswärtige Gäste des ISFH sind zu dieser Veranstaltung herzlich eingeladen!
Abstract: This presentation highlights recent research activities within the ANU Photovoltaics Group, spanning fundamental materials science to module and system-level applications, with an emphasis on reliability and real-world performance. Our research on high-efficiency silicon solar cells includes innovations in TOPCon and advanced passivated contact technologies, supported by in-depth studies of silicon material quality, defect analysis, and advanced characterisation methods. We also explore emerging photovoltaic technologies, particularly focusing on perovskite-silicon tandems, investigating trade-offs between efficiency, stability, and economic viability. Beyond solar cells, our work addresses module and system-level applications such as agrivoltaics, detailed ray-tracing simulations, and energy yield forecasting.
